In case you missed it, here's my 2017 year in review. Now on to 2018!
Inspired by Chris Brogan's method, I choose 3 words for the year. Unlike Chris Brogan, I also set a vision and a few goals. Then I break down the achievement of those goals into daily questions.
I do this because I know that when I am happy, healthy and well, I am in the best position to make a positive impact in the world.

My 2018 Goals
When I hiked the Inca Trail in 2016, my guide said, "This hike will test your body, heart, and mind." That was true, and I think it's also true if you replace the word hike with life, so my goals this year are centered around these 3.
My 2018 Daily Questions
This is the 4th year I've embraced the daily questions model of life. I use the below set of questions in a spreadsheet and answer them every single day. Some people look at this and think I belong on a nut farm and others seem intrigued.
For me the daily questions work because I made them a game for myself. I love to get As, so I used some conditional formatting in my daily questions spreadsheet to give myself a grade every day. This motivates me to plan my days so that I can get to yes on each question and therefore get an A for the day. Now, I look forward to filling out the questions each day because they are a habit. Making these micro decisions to act each day has helped me achieve some of the bigger things I never would have thought I was capable of.
If you're interested in the actual spreadsheet with conditional formatting, I'm happy to share it. Just send me a message with your contact info.
I'm simplifying my Daily Questions routine in 2018. I love pushing myself to recognize the funny and good in every day qualitatively, and the challenge of filling in something I learned. I consolidated a few of the yes/no questions because I have found what works for me.
