The Heat Is On
It's jalapeno harvest time. They look ready, but I still haven't touched them. Now it's time to create a menu so the little suckers can efficiently complete the earth to earth cycle.
After some searching, I've found several interesting ways to use them:
Fettucini with Tomato-Poblano Sauce and Green Chile Goat Cheese Every part of this one sounds delicious to me.
Grilled Halibut with Strawberry, Jalapeno Salsa When I worked at a restaurant, one of the chefs came out with a chocolate jalapeno cake, thereby introducing me to the jarringly pleasing sweet-hot sensation. I think this recipe sounds weird enough to be awesome.
Along those same lines, I'm also partial to trying the Jalapeno Pepper Jelly.
