Solitaire

Solitary. My weekend has been somewhat so. Hope I don't catch myself cheating. Took a walk and stopped in Kramer's. Bought Dan Chaon's You Remind Me of Me and Audrey Niffenenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife. Mostly cruised for dudes. They were all holding hands with each other. Without planning, I walked over to the Dupont Cinema and bought a ticket for Capote. Admittedly, I haven't read In Cold Blood, but I'm a sucker for Philip Seymour Hoffman and any tortured and flawed artist storyline. The movie was astonishing. For whatever it's worth, I highly recommend seeing it.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope for a postmodern moment of my own like Capote and Harper had, and Wordsworth and Coleridge before them. How incredible would that be?

"Mostly cruised for dudes. They were all holding hands with each other." So funny. So true.

I loved The Time Traveler's Wife, but I also know a few people who hated it. I want to know what you thought, once you've read it.
