Amasia Bistro

Monday nights are a wedding of two of my passions: Trivia and Music. A useless question is posed and then everyone has one song's length to turn in a useless answer. I get to choose the music, too, so I try to marry some element of the question into the song I choose to play. I don't know how to post the special iTunes playlist like Information Leafblower does, but then again, I didn't figure out how to use Chuck Palahniuk as a marketing machine either. 0 for 2.

This is what I'll be playing tomorrow night:
1. I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing by Bobby Bare Jr
2. Say Something New by The Concretes
3. Solar Prestige A Gammon by Elton John
4. Pocketful of Miracles by Frank Sinatra
5. Mary-Anne by Adam Richman
6. I Turn My Camera On by Spoon
7. There Goes The Sun by The Pernice Brothers
8. What Do You Do by Lyle Lovett
9. Heights by Matisyahu
10. Breathe (2 AM) by Nalick, Anna
11. Midnight Train To Georgia by Gladys Knight & The Pips
12. One Little Song by Gillian Welch
13. I'll Be Around (Demo) by Bobby Bare Jr
14. Martha by Brian Webb
15. Mary by Pushstart Wagon
16. I Gotta Get Drunk by Redbird
17. This Woman's Work by Kate Bush
18. China by Greg Brown
19. Apple Tree by Ana Egge
20. Star Spangled Banner by Jimi Hendrix
21. Genius by Inara George
22. What Did I Get Myself Into by Kyle Riabko
23. Please Let Me Stay A Little Longer by Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Paul Kamran reminds me that I meant to mention that I borrowed HEAVILY from the latest Paste Magazine sampler. New songs always seem more appealing than the ones I've listened to 100 times...

Yeah, I like the DVDs, too. I don't see eye-to-eye with them on music, but there's usually enough good stuff to make it worthwhile. I LOVE Matisyahu - how crazy is Hasidic reggae-tone? It's like something out of the Simpsons.

I'm just wondering what the trivia question was for Mary?
