Weekend Music
Well, it's Last Train Home time again, and they're gonna pull off 4 shows at IOTA this weekend. That's tonight, tomorrow night, Sunday afternoon, and Sunday night.

Also tomorrow night (9:30 Club) perennial favorite Martin Sexton will take the stage. Martin used to be on Atlantic, so was a label-mate of my former boss, Eddie Mac. He never achieved the sell-out cheesy fame my boss had, so Atlantic would try to force us to take him out on the road by sending my office MANY CD's, magnets, and T-shirts. Edwin never did take him on the road, but I fell in love with those CD's and had wanted to see Martin for many years before I finally got the chance when he played to his hometown crowd at the Somerville Theater in Boston. While that show was a bit disappointing to me, I would be happy to give Martin a second chance and heartily recommend that you check him out. Also, his music and dancing on furniture go hand in hand. Hallelujah.

Finally, The Birchmere has Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, John Hiatt, and Guy Clark on Monday night. For $100, which is a prohibitive cost to me, but I almost love Lyle enough to not eat for a week.

Go get em! And I'll be off to buy a wireless card. This is the weekend I leap into the 90's and give up my dial-up service.
