HM is trying to wait until the wake of boobies and tiny self-congratulatory statues is but a ripple.

The night of Feb 7 was a good one for HM, Shane Hines, and the Brindley Brothers. As Peabs would "sayeth," major buzz.

Becoming media and critical darlings, The Brindley Brothers are off to a good start supporting the new release, "Playing With the Light." With choice quotes from Playboy, the Washington Post, and the Washington Times, they're packing the houses around these parts at least.

Shane Hines is on his way as well this week, with a feature article in On Tap Magazine , a mention in the Washington Times article, and participation in a contest to gain a bid to SXSW.

Shane played a short 25 minutes set to open the night, knocked back from an original co-bill. The buzz on the BB's proved too much for JJ to handle this time around. Look for Shane to have his own sold-out show there sometime in March.

As for the BB's set, I'm partial to the song Harder, Easier, Better. I love seeing Jared Bartlett play in this band, as well.

Breaking news: Daniel Brindley is joining Last Train Home on keyboard for their local shows. HM's musicians are amazingly intertwined at this point.
